It's a natural thing: Paledrake = Moonlight. Another example of a Paledrake is Oceiros, though he's not a true Paledrake, he also had an association with Moonlight.

It's similar to referring to an Asian guy as the Asian guy in a room full of non-Asians. Seath is a Paledrake, at times referred to as The Paledrake, but this is because he's the only one known to most. Kalameet, from DS1's DLC is also an Archdragon, but his appearance differs greatly compared to Seath and the ones in the intro. Seath is obviously different compared to the dragons in DS1's intro.
Paledrake: I want to start this one off by saying that the Everlasting/Ancient/Archdragons came in multiple shapes and sizes. Summary: Both Midir and Seath have associations with Moonlight. Naturally I prefer the first point, but in a way they're both correct. This means they aren't related, but still share similarities. They aren't related but Midir, like Seath, just happens to have an association to Moonlight. Seath discovered Old Moonlight inside of Midir and fashioned his own version. Old Moonlight is said to predate the Moonlight Greatsword. If you check Midir's soul you discover that you can transpose it into a sorcery called Old Moonlight. Moonlight: The legendary Moonlight Greatsword is originally found by cutting off Seath's tail. Summary: Gwyn hates dragons but likes Seath. This leads to the point that Gwyn is fine having Midir do his job as guardian because of his relation to Seath. He even went as far as to make him Duke and not betray him. So why would he have a dragon watch over his youngest daughter? Well another Dark Souls 101 lesson is that Gwyn doesn't hate Seath, despite being a dragon. But according to Shira, Midir was also given the task "to watch over the sleeping Princess," Filianore.ĭark Souls 101 is Gwyn hates dragons he has legions of dragonslayers with weapons made specifically to kill dragons. Midir was raised to fight against the Dark/Abyss hence his title Darkeater( source). Gwyn: So apparently Gwyn has another daughter, Filianore, who he had watch over The Ringed City and wait for his return. So let's start with what made me come up with the theory in the first place. I've made comments about this theory but am now confident enough to make a whole post about it. Whether Midir is actually a child of Seath or a successful experiment since we all know how much Seath likes to experiment. So I have theory that I can strongly support that indicates Midir, descendant of Archdragons, is related to Seath. He began his career appearing on stage productions and also worked as model and fitness trainer. Keyes was born in Detroit and raised in Flint.
